250 QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 THUNDER VALLEY NATIONAL

The second round has made its way over to Lakewood, Colorado for the Thunder Valley National. We have already seen some amazing contenders battle it out at Fox Raceway the weekend prior for the opening round of the series. But now, we get to see them race again but at extremely high elevation which usually plays in the favor of certain riders who have access to tracks high in the sky. At the first round, Jett Lawrence and Jeremy Martin may have been dominant in the motos but other riders such as Max Vohland showed that they too can run up in the pack.

250 OVERALL QUALIFYING SESSION

Which one of the 300 Star Yamaha riders do you think will grab the fastest lap time out of the bunch?

Colt Nichols was the first to set a fast lap time around the Colorado track with Rj Hampshire following closely behind. The lap times hung around the 2 minute and 10-second mark with the track being extremely dry due to the wind the night before. Soon Jeremy Martin moved up to the top position but his spot would be taken away by Justin Cooper. Hunter Lawrence of HRC moved to the second place position with five minutes remaining. Justin Cooper was the fastest in the qualifying session. Right before qualifying finished, Alex Martin went down extremely hard and may have injured his hand.

FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION RESULTS

Austin Forkner drifting into the weekend.

Just like in Supercross, we once again saw the 32 of Justin Cooper grab the fastest lap time. It was a Star Yamaha top three however as Jeremy Martin followed behind in second place with a 2:07.2 and teammate Nate Thrasher with 2:07.3. Hunter Lawrence ran in fourth place followed by GasGas’s Michael Mosiman. The track was somewhat wet but became drier later throughout the practice.
