HUSQVARNA’S R.J. HAMPSHIRE OUT OF THE BUDDS CREEK NATIONAL

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider R.J. Hampshire will sit out this weekend’s penultimate round of the 2023 AMA 250 National Motocross Championship at Budds Creek ashe continues to recover from his second moto crash at Unadilla.

The 27-year-old went down heavily at the beginning of the second moto last Saturday afternoon and was unable to remount and complete the race. As a result, the decision has been made for Hampshire to remain on the sidelines for Budds Creek and a decision will be made as to whether he will be fit tenough o return for the final round at Ironman Raceway on August 26th.

R. J. Hampshire will easily qualify for the 250 SuperMotocross Playoffs whether he races at Budds Creek or Ironman Raeeway.

Hampshire currently sits sixth in the 250 National standings and is only 2 points out of the top five (although he will most likely lose additional points when he doesn’t show up at Budds Creek.  R.J is currently third in combined SuperMotocross (SMX) 250 Playoff points.
