THE REAL DEAL! 2021 MOTOCROSS ACTION 450 SHOOTOUT VIDEO
MXA’S 2021 450 FOUR-STROKE SHOOTOUT VIDEO: ALL SEVEN MOTOCROSS BIKES
MXA’s 2021 450 Four-Stroke Shootout video is finally here. In it, we breakdown the pros and cons of all seven 2021 450 motocross bikes and tell you why each one should win and why it should lose. As always, the MXA Wrecking Crew race tests these motorcycles to determine which is the best all-around race bike off the showroom floor. Each one has it’s quirks, along with it’s strong points and weak points, but they are far from the same. The motorcycles rolling off production lines today are better than ever, but that doesn’t make them equal.
And yes, it took longer than usual for our 450 Shootout video to be released. Why? First, we didn’t feel right doing a five bike shootout when we knew there would be seven major 450 four-stroke models on the market. While we waited for Suzuki and GasGas to give us bikes, we spent extra time learning about the completely-new Honda CRF450 and we continued testing the Kawasaki KX450 with it’s new belleville washer spring clutch, the KTM with it’s new WP XACT air forks and the Husky with it’s new lowered suspension platform. The 2021 Yamaha YZ450F is exactly the same as 2020, but we continued to log hours on it as well. Finally, the GasGas MC 450F came, but Suzuki kept pushing the dates back for when they would give us a bike. With Suzuki’s permission, we decided to find a 2020 Suzuki RM-Z450 (since it’s exactly the same as the 2021) and we used that for our 450 Shootout photos and videos. Then, only a couple weeks after we shot this video and before we published the magazine article, we had the 2021 RM-Z450 in our hands too. We also waited to release the video until after the April issue of Motocross Action Magazine was shipped to our subscribers.
