2023 HONDA CR500 MADE WITH A 2001 CR500 ENGINE
“This is my 2001 CR500AF that I bought directly from Service Honda new in the crate. This was my last 2-stroke motocross bike before buying a four-stroke. I rode it until 2004 when I bought a new CRF450 and held onto it because whenever I rode it liked it so much! It was just sitting and not being used much so I decided to go all out and bring it back to life! My goal was to show what the CR500 might look like if they still made it today in 2023.”—Glenn Harrison, Scotts Valley CA

This bike was fun to restore and build up piece by piece! I have my own vapor blasting cabinet and a large ultrasonic cleaner that I used for a lot of the meticulous cleaning it took to get the bike to a factory-like appearance. As a hobby in my spare time, I like to restore and rebuild bikes, so I thought I’d share one example with everyone.
