WATCH HONDA’S DOMINATION OF THE PALA NATIONAL MOTOCROSS IN UNDER 6 MINUTES

And so it begins! Held on the Pala Indian Reservation, the 2022 AMA National Motocross Championship got underway with a Honda sweep of the top two places in both the 250 and 450 motocross classes. Chase Sexton had to run down teammate Ken Roczen in both 450 motos, while Jett Lawrence won easily, while his brother Hunter had to work his way up to second in the both 250 motos. The crowd was thrilled to see both Ryan Dungey and Tony Cairoli come out of retirement—with Dungey fifth and Cairoli seventh. Sadly, 2021 AMA 450 Champion Dylan Ferrandis had to miss the race because he injured his thumb on Tuesday’s press day—and it will need surgery to fix. Next week’s race will be held at Hangtown.
