VIDEO RECAP: WATCH THE THUNDER VALLEY NATIONAL (IF FOR NOTHING ELSE BUT TO SEE TY MASTERPOOL)

The Lawrence brothers continued their domination of the 250 and 450 classes with strong performance just outside the Mile High City in Colorado, but all eyes were on Texas privateer Ty Masterpool, who with only three hours on a 450, shocked the factory riders with his never give up attitude. Masterpool’s determined riding in the second moto had the crowd going crazy—certainly there was no need to cheer Jett Lawrence on to his way to a third straight 450 National victory. The 250 class saw spirited riding from the back of the pack as crashes send some of the contender to the back—but they managed to save their day with valiant second moto charges—especially Jo Shimoda, who worked his was onto the podium only to crash on the last lap and lose 5 positions
