2024 SUPERCROSS POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 3 OF 17)

The 2024 San Diego Supercoss started out dry in the morning for free practice, but when the first round of qualifying came around, the rain showed up and it didn’t slow until about 4:00 P.M. The rain made for a very slick qualifying session and the AMA ended up canceling the second round of qualifying to save the track for the night show. It was a muddy mess for the Heat races and LCQ’s, but by the time the Main Events came around, the top riders were able the clear the triple out of the 90-degree left-hander and the racing turned out to be very intense and exciting. In the end, it was Nate Thrasher who benefited from a lapper slowing Garrett Marchanks, allowing Nate to get his first win of the year. And it was Aaron Plessinger who stayed strong on the greasy 450SX Main Event track to take the win and points lead.

250SX WEST COAST POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 3 OF 10)

Nate Thrasher 2024 San Diego Supercross Heats-8400Nate Thrasher wins at San Diego, but he still sits 37 points behind Jordon Smith after a DNF at Anaheim 1 and a tough race at San Francisco.

Jordon Smith stays consistent and extends his points lead after RJ Hampshire goes down on the last lap, gifting Jordon with his third podium in a row. Levi Kitchen was fast, but a crash early in the San Diego 250SX Main Event kept him off the podium. Garrett almost had the win, but even with a second, he’s still well in reach of the red plate, only being 10 points back.
